Firefox Bookmarks: Exploring 2 keyboard focused interactions
I use bookmarks in a very heavy way, so being able to bookmark pages very easily and quickly is a requirement. This mockup of Firefox' "Add to Bookmark" action is focused and privileges keyboard interaction. At pmworks Research, through all the projects, we're focusing particularly on UIs for group and personal performance improvements, both on existing software and our research projects. This is just an applied lesson to the current Firefox bookmarks GUI.
Personally I prefer the Ubiquity interaction (2nd case), because it's more clear and efficient, but on the other hand it lacks mouse elements, so the majority of users may not find it as useful as the 1st one.
